10.6 Next Steps

In the following chapters, the topics that were introduced here will be revisited with examples. In the next chapter, greedy selection methods will be described (such as simple filters and backwards selection). Then the subsequent chapter describes more complex (and computationally costly) approaches that are not greedy and more likely to find a globally best subset.
